My National Postcard Week Postcards

I’m sharing with you the postcards I received from members of Postcrossing Enthusiasts during the celebration of National Postcard Week (it was celebrated during the second week of May). We were divided into groups of five which means we will send postcards to the other four members of the group and expect four in return. Too bad though that one postcard got lost somewhere because up to now I have only received three.

Anyway, here are the lovely postcards :

“Kapiil Sa Munsala”  – from  Arlene

Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal  -  from Toni

The Temple of the Emerald Buddha – from Cheerful

Thank you, lovely ladies, for the equally lovely postcards. Happy Postcrossing !

Big Buddha, Samui

This temple is the home of Koh Samui’s most famous landmark the Big Buddha. Most visitors come to marvel at the sheer size and beauty of this remarkable statue at some point during their holiday. Visible from several kilometers away and even from the air when arriving on or leaving the island , the 12 meter tall golden image stands proud. (source)

Thanks to sis Genebei, a member of Postcrossing Enthusiasts, for this lovely postcard. Big Buddha sure looks magnificent !

Tinikling Dance

Tinikling Dance

The Tinikling is the Philippines’ most popular traditional dance. All attired in native apparel, the balintawak and barong tagalog, the onlookers cheer as a couple dance, skipping between bamboo poles, imitating the lively movements of the ‘tikling’ birds.

This postcard was sent by sis Arlene, who is also a member of Postcard Enthusiasts. Thanks, sis !
